Complex 3D Nanostructures

This research aspect focuses on materials architecture, the way how materials are defined by geometry. This starts by the design of multilayers, goes over the creation of identical simple small structures by glancing incidence deposition, and culminates at 3D printing at the nanometer and micrometer scale. The latter is achieved by dip-pen nanolithography, scanning tunneling electrodeposition as well as utilizing two photon lithography and electrodeposition in a fluid atomic force microscopy in collaboration with other ETH Zurich research groups.
